HOW TO ALTER AND DELETE COMPANY IN TALLY PRIME?

Group Company

Let's say you are the owner of National Enterprises, a textile company with sister operations in Hyderabad (Telangana) and Chennai (Tamil Nadu) which is located in Bangalore (Karnataka). Fabrics are the focus of the Bangalore branch, while ready-to-wear Western and ethnic clothing is the focus of the sister companies in Chennai and Hyderabad. By including your sister companies, you can create a group company in TallyPrime.
However, it is advised that: before forming a group company.
The member companies share the same Formal name and Base currency symbol. This can be confirmed in the Company Creation/Alteration screen.
The member businesses all utilize standard accounting records and books. Or, to put it another way, the names of the corresponding masters and/or ledgers ought to be consistent across businesses. This will aid in accurate MIS reports and proper account consolidation. For instance, if the sales ledgers are titled Sales in one company and Sale in another, it could cause confusion and improper consolidation in the group company.
You can now move on to forming your group company.
1. Select the necessary member companies by pressing Alt F3 (Select Company).
2. Launch the Group Company Creation screen.
  • Create by pressing Alt K (Company).
  • Press Alt R to bring up the Group Company screen in the Company Creation window.
3. On the Group Company Creation screen:
  • Add the necessary information along with the name of the group company. You may enter the address that is appropriate for your group company when sending correspondence.
  • Pick the member businesses Synonyms  Definition: of Business. business companies trade enter prices firms from the List of Companies to enter the Member Companies field. If you no longer need the group company, you can easily delete it without affecting the data of the sister companies.

4. Recognize the screen. Pressing Ctrl-A will save changes as usual.
  • The group company (in bold) and the member companies are both visible in the Tally Gateway. By pressing Ctrl F3, you can close the other companies and use the group company.
  • The group company will now show up in the List of Companies when you open a new company in TallyPrime in the future.

Delete a company from Tally Prime.

An individual can swiftly remove the company in Tally Prime. However, deleting a company also deletes the data associated with that company from the hard drive. The company's associated directories and files will all be permanently deleted. Follow the instructions listed below to delete a company in Tally Prime.

  • Press Alt K, Alter, and Alt D while at the Tally Gateway.
  • Using the Alt K keys will cause the company information to appear on the screen.
  • Click the "alter" option now.
  • Click Select Company, then press Alt D. Click the YES button to delete the company after that.
